Work on the meadows has begun...

With thanks to the Everybody Active, Everyday funding.

A huge thank you to all that voted for us at the station in Harry Tuffin's in Craven Arms for the Everybody Active Everyday grant! Back in October, we won a share of the £30,000 and work on these projects has begun here at The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

Onny Meadows Easy Access Trail

We have now begun work on the meadows for the all ability access paths and we are getting on well with the path to Kingfisher corner. A new picnic table and renovated bench will enable people to sit and enjoy the riverside tranquility. The trail will enable people to take regular, gentle walks in a safe and very attractive environment.

Wild Play for all

The footbridge to the woodland area is being replaced and we are starting works on the area for the new wild play. A new wild play area in woodland in the Onny Meadows will encourage children to exercise, while having fun.
